Hochiki Europe develops new CPD technical courses
Hochiki Europe, a manufacturer and supplier of industrial fire detection products, has announced the availability of three Continuing Professional Development (CPD) courses designed for M&E contractors and consultants, architects and end users.
The
False Alarm Reduction in Detection Systems offers delegates an insight into the problems caused by false alarms and how to avoid them. It looks at the standards involved, the measures taken by manufacturers to reduce false alarms, and how to select the right device for the area.
Finally, Understanding the Selection, Spacing and Siting of Detectors provides essential information on the updated BS5839 Part 1:2002 (Fire detection and alarm systems for buildings). It provides practical advice on the selection, spacing and siting of detectors, giving a comprehensive overview of all of the necessary requirements for designing a fire detection and alarm system.
Each Hochiki Europe course lasts for approximately one hour and can be held at the customer’s premises. They have been externally reviewed and approved by the Construction CPD Certification Service, and delegates will receive one CPD point for attending each session.
