Rapid-fix solution for fire systems (08 February 2010)
In association with Hochiki Europe, Apex Wiring Solutions has introduced a rapid-fix, electrical cabling solution for fire systems that, it claims, could revolutionise the way in which fire detection systems are installed. Described as a ‘plug and play’ system Smart-Fix+ is said to cut installation costs, reduce waste, diminish the need for site labour, improve site efficiency, enhance site safety and accelerate construction programmes.

Sensing Safety for Power Plants (01 August 2008)
Sensors, beam detectors and call points supplied by Hochiki Europe are protecting completed sections of the new Hellisheidi Geothermal Power Plant that is currently being constructed south of Mount Hengill in Iceland for Orkuveita Reykjavikur [Reykjavik Energy]. Construction of the plant is a joint enterprise between Mitsubishi Heavy Industries and German company, Balcke-Durr, and the fire detection and alarm system was installed by Icelandic fire safety specialist, Ark Security.
