Plastic connector joins M12 range

Binder’s introduced a female socket version of its M12 connector with a plastic housing. The Binder 713 series is manufactured in polyamide and is designed to offer a low-cost alternative to metal-bodied versions with which they are fully interchangeable, having exactly the same dimensions.

Both front and rear mounted versions are available in 4, 5 and 8-pole formats with either PG9 or M16 locking threads. Protected to IP67, the 713 series has solder contacts for wires up to 0.25mm² and the housing can accommodate cable sizes from 3.5 to 5.0mm. Contacts are gold-plated bronze with a current rating of 2 to 4A and solder bucket and dip solder versions are available. The minimum mating cycle is 100.

The Binder 713 series is suited to use in a range of industrial cations in drives, controls, sensors and automation equipment.
