Trunking solution for large capacity data cable containment
Cat 6 and Cat 6A compliant Twin165 is the latest addition to Marshall-Tufflex’s range of cable management systems. The two compartments within this PVC-U system are split to provide approximately 60% space for power delivery and 40% capacity for data cabling.
This greater capacity, combined with the functional size of Twin165, is said to make the system suitable for specification into commercial, institutional and educational establishments. Here, increasingly high levels of data cabling need routing around buildings via robust trunking systems that may have to negotiate awkward obstacles, such as wall supports and other protrusions.
Twin165’s new design also includes bend radius control of 50mm, designed to be Cat 6 and Cat 6A compliant. Adjustable internal and external bends offer +/- 100 flexibility to accommodate building intolerances on corners.
To complement the standard range of Twin165, Marshall-Tufflex can also offer this system with two variations. Twin165 can be treated with a unique copper spray coating to provide protection from electromagnetic interference and it can also be specified as a Bio system to provide an integral antimicrobial protection that helps prevent the spread of infection via its surface in areas where hygiene is a priority.
Marshall-Tufflex product manager Chris Scott says: "Twin165 is a significant and very important new product for us. Its data It offers a range of benefits to both installers and end users, not least in its ability to future-proof installations at a price point that will be attractive to a wide variety of clients."
The system is fully compatible with Marshall-Tufflex accessories.
