SANYO ramps up solar activity with dedicated installer programme

SANYO has announced the launch of an international solar installer initiative in the UK, the SANYO Solar Premium Installer Programme.

SANYO has announced the launch of an international solar installer initiative in the UK

The campaign is designed as the first dedicated support network of its kind for PV installers in the United Kingdom - providing them, SANYO says, with sales leads from their region, direct communication with SANYO on the latest technologies and their own customisable micro site to help promote their business.

To qualify for the SANYO Solar Premium Installer Programme accreditation, installers need to have installed 10 photovoltaic (PV) systems with SANYO solar modules. As well as providing the business with independent recognition, the programme in turn offers added peace of mind for the end user looking to install PV systems in their home or office.

Ms. Marlene Muehlbauer, marketing spokesperson at SANYO Component Europe commented:
“The market for PV systems in the UK is growing dramatically, and the industry is evolving at a rapid pace. As most installers have diversified from being electricians, they face the significant challenge of keeping up with new technology and methods as well as the routes to order - the SANYO Solar Premium Installer Programme helps across all of those issues.”

Direct marketing support from a PV manufacturer for installers is very rare in the UK, and this programme intends to change that. The direct connection ensures installers are not only aware of new technologies, but also that they are able to develop and articulate the best solution for clients according to their unique needs.

The UK programme follows successful pilot schemes in Germany and Italy, where the solar market is more mature. Ms. Muehlbauer continued, “The feedback from PV installers in Germany and Italy has been very positive, with particular appreciation of the direct access to technicians and sales. The number of leads generated has also exceeded expectations, reflecting both an obvious benefit for installers to get involved and the need from consumers for a resource like this.”

In addition to communication and sales support, SANYO Solar Premium Installers will be offered training sessions up to twice a year.
