Users and suppliers in the hazardous area industry, readers of publications carrying the HazardEx brand as well as visitors to this website have made the nominations. Short lists of finalists in each category were then drawn up and now the winners have been announced.
The five categories are:
Contribution Towards Safety
- A product or system which has made a significant contribution to safety in the past year.
Technical Innovation
- An original new product being used within the hazardous area
Best User Application
- An application story highlighting the benefits of a product being used in a hazardous area
Environmental Contribution to Industry
- A company which has used energy efficient processes or products within potentially explosive atmospheres
Lifetime Contribution to Safety in the Hazardous Areas Industry
- This award category celebrates an individuals contribution to improving health and safety in hazardous areas over the length of their career
