Fundraisers at electrical charity EEIBA are celebrating another successful annual powerBall with £246,850 being raised on the night, which provided a fun filled evening of entertainment for guests

Taking place at the Grosvenor House Hotel in Park Lane, London, the event was attended by individuals and companies representing the electrical, electronics and power sectors.

Entertainment included a musical spectacle from the cast of the West End hit ‘Dreamboats and Petticoats’ and guests were able to dance to Star, followed by a disco.

Claire Beresford, Corporate Fundraising Manager for EEIBA, said: “Everyone had a fantastic time at this year’s powerBall and it is great that we surpassed last year’s total by more than £4,000. Despite the continuing economic gloom and the fact that people seem to be being squeezed from all sides financially, it is an incredible effort from our supporters.

“I’d like to say a big thank you to everyone involved in the organisation of the event, particularly Richard Birtchnall who is stepping down from his role having done such a brilliant job for us each year. I’d also like to thank all of our sponsors and supporters for attending and making it a real night to remember.”
