Electrical installer awards delivered
Logic Certification Ltd (LCL) approved centre, Training in Electrical is the first LCL provider to assess learners in its Level 3 award – Requirements for Electrical Installations to BS7671: 2008 (2011) – one of the Awarding Organisation’s courses recently approved under the QCF (Qualifications and Credit Framework.)
Launched last month, the QCF award covers the 17th Edition Wiring Regulations and is a necessary requirement for operatives wishing to join some Electrical Registration Bodies, Competent Person Schemes or the Microgeneration Certification Scheme (MCS).
Operating out of two locations in the region, including a state-of-the-art centre at Nottingham Trent University, Training in Electrical delivers a range of electrical and associated renewable technology courses. Robert Hurley from Training in Electrical said: “We are pleased to be the first Logic Certification QCF electrical training centre. Training in Electrical is passionate about learning and believe that the QCF framework will help our candidates realise their potential and develop their careers in a much more structured way.”
With a very successful programme training solar photovoltaic installers, Training in Electrical also plans to deliver Logic Certification’s range of environmental QCF courses which are currently being introduced.
QCF is a new way of recognising skills and qualifications, enabling candidates to learn at their own pace along flexible routes. This is the first of many QCF qualifications to be accredited by Logic Certification, building on the success of its existing assessment programmes, such as gas ACS and Oftec Oil courses.
