CK Ratchet Crimping Plier

C.K tools, major supplier of quality tools for professional trades, has extended its popular range of crimping tools with the addition of a ratchet crimping plier, designed specifically to crimp non-insulated terminals with jaws to fit 6 – 25mm2 crimps.

Loose wires are a major cause of electrical fires, meaning it is vital that the correct tool is used to achieve a good connection with an accurate crimping pressure. Designed to ensure safe, consistent, precise crimping of wires into terminals, C.K tools’ practical pliers utilise a ‘deadlock’ system, meaning the pliers must be fully closed before they can be re-opened, ensuring the correct pressure is applied to make a safe crimp. Once fully closed and the crimp is complete, a quick release lever is activated opening the pliers ready for the next crimp, providing both safety and efficiency on the job.

UK electricians frequently crimp 6, 10, 16 and 25mm2 terminals, especially in the crimping of heavy-duty ‘bell mouth’ copper crimps onto large core cable for use on mains earth bonding – amongst other tasks. In answer to the market’s needs C.K tools created its functional new ratchet crimping pliers to accommodate the various sizes and types of crimps.

For added peace of mind, the shape of the die has also been specially designed to deform the terminal in the best way for secure wire connection. It is never a case of ‘one size fits all’, so it is important to match the right plier to the terminal type being used.

Offering the ultimate in performance and reliability, the C.K Ratchet Crimping Pliers are tested to 40,000 cycles and each plier is guaranteed for 30,000 cycles.
